Letters From Our Brittany's Families
Ataboy's Vincent Van Go
Hi Shelley!
Just wanted to let you know that we have arrived safely in Bar Harbor, after spending a day with my family in Buffalo. Vinny is doing absolutely wonderfully! We are totally enamored with him, and he is healthy, happy, and basically a perfect little guy! He is eating well, is perky and happy, and is adapting well to his new family. It is hard to believe it is only 3 days - we already feel like he has been part of our family for a long time! Each day, he shows us a bit more of his personality and who he is going to be. He loves to play with his stuffed toys, and is already responding to his name. He will retrieve his little baby-size kong toy - it is so hilarious to watch him tumble over it and then come trotting back! He tells us that he enjoys going for walks, and thinks he is very capable of keeping up with his big brother and sister (he gives it a valiant effort; and we are all too happy to carry him when he is tired). Cadie and Nike are doing well with him.

Shelley - thank you again for bringing such a little joy into the world! He is such a stable, sweet, balanced little guy - it is very obvious that you take great care in both your breeding program and in the health and care of your dogs. I have especially enjoyed watching how he moves - he is so fluid and graceful. The Brittanys have a very distinctive way of moving that is quite different from Goldens - he is so very pretty to watch! We are so happy that you were willing to place one of your dogs with us! Both Mike and I enjoyed getting to meet you in person, and to see your beautiful place in the country. It is truly a paradise, and I am sure you are so excited about all that you are planning for your place.
I really felt like I had known you for years, and could have spent the entire day sitting and talking dogs with you! Take care; and again, thanks for such a wonderful little guy, Shelley!

Ataboy's Bruce Beach Bailey
Hello Shelley,
Thorpe and I are so thankful I found your website. I knew from our first phone call that one of your Brittany's would be right for our family.

We thank you for all the time you have spent with us over the last few months......our visit to your home, the phone calls, and many e-mails and photos. It has been wonderful to have the opportunity to know our Bailey from the start.

Bailey is just beautiful. She is happy, healthy and very curious. The kids are really enjoying all of her energy. Bailey has quickly molded into our home. Thorpe, Tyler and Emily love showing her to all their friend......she is becoming the neighborhood pet. They love to take her for walks.....I keep waiting for that to end, but so far so good. With the boys in school all day, Bailey has become Emily's best friend. She tells everyone that Bailey is her "sister".

I remember commenting that I wanted her to be affectionate just like Bridget.....and she is. She loves to cuddle and give "hugs". She is very quick to learn and has brought much happiness to our family. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do!!! We feel truly blessed to have Bailey and to have made new friends in both of you. We guarantee that you will see Bailey every July. Who would have guessed that a search for a family pet in Virginia would led us to Ontario......so close to the cottage. Thanks again for the wonderful care and love you gave our Bailey. It truly shows!!!!! We tell her "Grandma Shelley" loves her every day :) Hugs, Kelly

Basil
Hi Shelley,
We have some disturbing news.... we are suffering from P.P.S. (Proud Parent Syndrome). Our little guy is the smartest dog on the planet. He's fetching and returning a certain toy on command... AT 11 WEEKS!!!!! He's starting to heel most of the time and he comes when called or given the "come" command. The problem we had of him peeing in his crate has not occurred in the last 9 days. So I think we're well on our way to having the first dog brain surgeon or dare I say it ... Prime Minister. Anyway, back to reality, he has grown to 13 inches (to the top of his shoulders) and has increased his weight by a lot and we'll have an actual weight for you next week after his visit to the Vet.

Griffin
Hi Shelley!
Thanks for sending these new photo's along and for your/Garnett's time over the week-end! We appreciate it tremendously and are thrilled to have found you. It means a lot to us to know that we are dealing with such a knowledgeable, caring, responsible and professional breeder. We really have a good feeling about you, Garnett and Ataboy Kennels and look forward to being able to recommend you to every person that ask's about our little dog as we put him through the paces around the neighbourhood!
Thanks again for your time and consideration Shelley.
Take care and best wishes!
Chris

Isabella
Dear Shelley,
Hi to both of you. Just wanted you to know the trip home went pretty good. Isabella is adjusting fine. Only one accident in the house so far and that was my fault because it was time to go outside and I forgot. She loves to snuggle and play. She sits at our sliding door and cries sometimes. Was she outside alot? She seems to really love it out there. My girls can't get enough of her though. It is cute and at times frustrating because they don't want to leave her alone. We had all of our neighbors checking her out when we got home last night. The kids all saw her out in the yard and came running. We had to form a line for each one to hold her. Pretty funny. Isabella was probably thinking, get me out of here. Ha ha.
I hope this is ok to ask so many questions. It just feels better getting advice from the experts. Thank you for the sweet letter and pictures. We are so very pleased with our choice. Not only did we get a special addition to our family, we also made some special friends too. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Mita Floria

Boston
Hi Shelley
It was good to hear from you last night. I had taken Tuesday off work and was going to give you an email update today anyway. The trip home was good. I held Boston for the first hour or so, and then we had a stop. I put him in his crate with a few toys. He had a good quiet time
in his crate and got a lot of sleep. We stopped and let him have a little fresh air break about every hour and a half. Boston is a sweet dog, very affectionate, and Bill and I adore him.
He's getting familiar with his name, and the Come command. With a squeaky toy in his mouth, he races around the backyard as if he's being chased. He lunges to the ground shaking his head/toy and makes little growly sounds. He's practicing little barks too! Bill and I have talked about Boston's sweet temperment and we both feel that this is a direct result of all the love and attention you and your family gave the pups during their first few weeks. We are so happy we bought our pup from you! Take care, and I hope the house isn't too quiet for you these days! (Gee -maybe you need another litter........)

Ataboy's Montessa Of Wuphan "Tessa"
Hi Shelley and Candice!

Just a quick update to say that Tessa is a most wonderful dog. She is progressing in her Kinderpuppy classes very well and was deemed the most confident dog in the first class. Tessa loves to cuddle on my lap while
reclining in the rocker but readily knows to go into her crate for bedtime. She also enjoys playing with our two cats and racing around the spruce tree in the yard. It's been a real pleasure taking her for walks and I get so many comments on how cute she is and they always want to know what is her breed. She is "the" most friendly dog I have ever owned and a real pleasure to show off!
Signed, Tessa's mom, Jill.

Bailey
Hi Shelley,
Just wanted you to know that everything is great! When Meghan saw him, she just kept saying, "thank you for my puppy!" The two are inseparable! Michael went out and got some bird wings. And Bailey's already retrieving! Michael had him up to his Grandparents house and they were shooting a 22. Bailey didn't even flinch! He's only had 2 accidents-and both(I think) were our fault. He went to to door and we weren't paying attention. Everyone comments on how beautiful he is-we just smiling and say "We know!" haha I must tell you how amazed I am at how emotionally secure he is! He is such a happy, eager to please puppy. Thanks for our new baby!

Ataboy's Baileys Irish Cream
Hello Shelley,

Hope all is well. Just wanted to say thank you for the pass to the show on Sunday, I really enjoyed being there. You were great with Bailey, it was amazing how he changed him in just a few minutes.

As I mentioned it would be nice to get together (barbeque) with you and the family, including Copper and Star. We have lots of space up here, not as much as you I hear, but either way sometime in the summer we'll try and make it happen
p.s. Bailey is turning into a wonderful dog
Take care, keep in touch Jack and the family
