Letters From Our Brittany's Families
Piper and his Best Buddies
Hi Shelley,
Just a short note to let you know how much we appreciate what you did for Piper. Knowing that he is in GREAT hands when we leave him with you is such a blessing! He is walking much better on a leash and seems to listen more. Amy has not stopped talking about Shelley. She wants to be "Shelley" when she grows up. You sure have made a HUGE impression on her :) !!
We have been enjoying the spring weather this week by taking Piper to some local trails. He LOVES running around like a madd dog without a leash. We usually walk for an hour and a half (he runs the entire time!) We do this in the morning and he's really mellow the rest of the day..........that's nice for us. I took this picture at the start of our walk and that's why he looks so clean.......he's black when we're all done. Anyway, we're looking forward to seeing you soon...........are you doing the London show? I think Amy and i will come down and watch if you're there.
Take care,
Bethany
Oliver and his two best friends
Hello Shelley.

Oliver is adjusting well to his new home and surroundings. He sleeps through the night without a problem and already knows how to sit, give a paw or two (depending on which one I ask for) and lie down. We're still working on stay.

Other than having all off the toys that he could ever want at home, Oliver is very social outside of the house. His two best friends are 80 pound boxers. A picture of the three boys is attached. He also has a little "girlfriend" that he plays with in the park. She's a 6 month, 40 pound Victorian Bulldog. They have so much fun together. We are really happy with Oliver. We can't imagine life without him!

We will keep in touch. Faith and Rob

Joanne and Charlie
Just thought I would mail a picture of Charlie and Joanne at the Terry Fox Memorial in Thunder Bay. Charlie is doing fine and enjoys travelling with us. Joanne has been doing some agility work with him.

Mika
Hi Shelley,
Just a quick note to tell you a little bit about Mika. She is truly the most wonderful companion I could have ever asked for, and her never stopping wagging tail lets me know she feels the same way about me. Not a day goes by that she does not make someone laugh hysterically or stop in their tracks from her absolute beauty. She is completely loving, playful, and truly content to just sit in my arms and give me kisses for hours. Not to mention - she is brilliant! She is the hit of the dog run every day, whether it's digging the biggest hole or sitting in the biggest puddle. But when night time rolls around, she is the best "cuddler" I have ever known. If Mika is a testament to the type of dogs you breed, you do a most wonderful job. She is loved by all who meet her, and she has enough love to give back to all. Thank you for the fantastic job you do raising loving and beautiful companions.
Sincerely,
Lori Abramovitch
Hi Shelley,
My name is Jessica, and my dad gave me the best gift ever for my birthday a year ago. In August 2007 my dad gave me a picture in a card, it was a picture of a dog, he said that the dog would be ready in the next few weeks. When the puppy came home, it was love at first sight, she was everything I had ever imagined she would be. In the following months, we grew to be the closest of companions, she is wonderful. My dog Sage is my best friend. Sage really keeps me on my toes, she is absolutely brilliant, gorgous, and definitely has an attitude of her own. Shelley I thank you so much for this wonderous dog.

Thank you,
Jessica
Hi Shelley,
Just dropping you a quick note to let you know that Juno is coming into her own as a gundog.
Here is an entry from my online hunting diary detailing a trip to Banin Upland Game Farm on September 6th:

I got out to Banin with Juno yesterday morning. I had eight chukar released. I was thinking I would come home with maybe half of them, expecting Juno would bump most of them in her enthusiasm. Boy, did I underestimate her! In just over two hours of hunting I came home with nine chukar and two cock pheasants, all but two taken over her points, the first pheasant and the 2nd last chukar were bumped. This bird flew toward me offering a station 8 shot. I dumped it cleanly with my first barrel. It went cartwheeling by me onto the ground. I can never hit the station 8 clay on the skeet range, but in the field I often manage it. I have my confidence back in wing shooting. My misadventure on the Castor River last Thanksgiving really threw me for a loop and led to a slump in my wing shooting for the rest of the 2009 season. Juno is coming into her own as a gundog. Still, I will wait and see how she performs in the grouse and woodcock field, but I am cautiously
optimistic.

Of the eleven birds, most of the chukar were lively cripples. I was using my Lanber with Winchester field loads, no. 6 shot. The last chukar went down in a long glide into the wooded area off the first field across from the stream. I thought it was lost, but after letting Juno run through the first field, we made our way into the wooded area and she quickly found the crippled bird. Juno is staunch on point, retrieves, ranges and quarters through the cover. My game vest was bursting at the seams by the end of the hunt. She is still inclined to walk at heel when we are on a road or clearly defined trail. I will have to be mindful of this when we are out in the Marlborough Forest.

Cheers,Geoffrey

Hi Shelley,

I had to send you this pic of Bandit & Tom taken last summer on 34 ft Catalina. We just love our Bandit. Don't know what we'd do without him.

Thanks again for a wonderful Brit!
